Grammy Award-Winning R&B Group 112 Performs at Detroit Pistons Halftime Show TONIGHT April 3rd

The Detroit Pistons face the Orlando Magic at The Palace of Auburn Hills tonight at 7:30 p.m ET. During halftime, performing live will be Grammy-Award Winning R&B Group 112 (pronounced “one-twelve”). 112 is an R&B quartet from Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly artists on Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, they had great success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits such as “Only You”, “Anywhere” and “Peaches & Cream”. The group most notably won a Grammy in 1997 for Best Rap Performance by A Duo Or Group, for featuring in the song “I’ll Be Missing You” with Puff Daddy and Faith Evans .

The quartet 112 helped to put the Bad Boy music label on the map in 1996. The R&B group also earned an MTV Video Music Award for their contribution to “I’ll Be Missing You” (Diddy’s tribute to the late Notorious B.I.G.), and their albums 112Room 112 and Part III achieved multi-platinum sales status. While recording their 2003 release Hot & Wet, the group defected to Def Jam Records. During their heyday, 112 toured with the Isley Brothers and Janet Jackson.

The Detroit Pistons April 3rd home date features a special halftime performance by the R&B group 112. “We are pleased to announce the entertainment line-ups for our upcoming games in March and April,” said Harlan Hendrickson, Vice President of Marketing for Palace Sports & Entertainment and the Pistons. “Adding musical performances to our halftime line-up is a unique opportunity to thrill our fans and add value to the overall basketball experience.”

Detroit is 7-2 in its last nine at home, while Orlando has dropped four of six on the road.
